2026 updates

2026 Medicare changes for Colorado

Several important Medicare changes take effect in 2026. Here's what Colorado beneficiaries need to know.

Part B premium increase

The standard Part B premium rose from $185.00 in 2025 to $202.90 per month in 2026 — a $17.90 increase. The Part B annual deductible increased from $257 to $283. See the full 2026 cost breakdown.

Part D out-of-pocket cap: $2,100

The Inflation Reduction Act's prescription drug out-of-pocket cap increased from $2,000 in 2025 to $2,100 in 2026. Once you spend $2,100 on covered prescriptions, you pay nothing more for the rest of the year. This applies to all Part D and Medicare Advantage plans with drug coverage.

Part A hospital costs

The Part A inpatient hospital deductible increased to $1,736 per benefit period (up from $1,676). Daily coinsurance for days 61-90 is now $434/day.

IRMAA brackets updated

Income-related premium adjustments shifted with inflation. The first threshold moved from $106,000 to $109,000 for individual filers. See the complete IRMAA table.
