How the $2,100 cap works
The Inflation Reduction Act capped annual out-of-pocket prescription costs for all Part D and Medicare Advantage drug plans. Once your covered drug spending hits $2,100 in 2026, you pay $0 for covered drugs the rest of the year. Insulin is separately capped at $35/month.
You can also spread costs across the year with the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan (opt-in through your plan).
